Saturday after Hans nap we went to Ethelyn's baby shower. She is pregnant with twins and also has a son that is two months younger than Hans. Hans enjoyed playing with the kids, and Elle enjoyed being held by all the woman. My close neighbors Alicia, Ria and Patti where there and got to see Elle for the first time although I forgot to take pictures of them holding Elle. Elle slept because she was held by people the entire time.

At Home Depot there is an event every first Saturday of the month where kids get to make a project. This was the first time I was able to take Hans. He made for Grandma Cindy a pen holder with flowers in it. He helped with the hammering and was good a keeping his goggles on. He definitely is into tools at home which helped because he knew what he was doing better than kids older than him. That way he didn't look to young to be there. Hans got to use nails, hammer, wood glue and sand paper. While he was working everybody was coming by to check out Elle. I spend al ot of time at home depot for working on the house and landscaping so I know many of the people that work there. I also have some former students that work there while going to college.
Hans is extremely helpful with Elle. He holds her bottle for her, gives her a pacifier when she needs it, and lets me know anytime she is crying. The only problem we have had is he wants to give her a pillow, but doesn't realize it can't cover her face. As you can imagine it totally freaked me out when he did that so now I don't leave her down low if there are pillow around.
I love soothies pacifiers, the only thing is we need to get more. Hans likes to put things away, and I am not sure where he put them. One of his favorite spots is under the sofas.

May 2nd, Today Elle was a month old. She is such a joy and I can't believe time is going so fast. Her loves are to be held, sitting in her boppy and swing. Now she is also starting to like her baby papasan.
Hans and I have been watching American Idol and we all dance to ever song. Here he is having fun dancing.
Elle is a pacifier girl. Hans never took to it, but Elle loves her pacifier. It seems that if she doesn't have it she ends up get the hiccups.

Auntie Diane came up to help me take care of the kids, so I could finish my final project and be ready for the final for my masters class. I was so grateful to have her come.

Hans had to have Elle in his play room to watch him play she seemed to enjoy it.
She likes the play mat for about 5 to 10 minutes. Hans would stay on it for hours maybe she will get there.
Elle loves to sleep in her boppy. She prefers that to anything else. Although I have started to make sleep more in her crib. She sleeps best when there is a lot of noise.

Elle is two weeks in this picture! She is getting better at sleeping for a longer period. Last night she went four hours. It is the longest stretch since she was born.

Elle is totallydifferent from Hans. Everything Hans didn't like she loves. Her favorite spot is the baby swing and Hans cried anytime you put him in. He liked all the toys that he could be active. Elle loves to eat, sleep and dirty her diaper. Hans just always wanted to play.

Hans holds Elle for the first time. He has been so good to her and is very helpful with getting her diapers and throwing the dirty ones away.
Elle slept all day the first day home from the hospital and then was up all night this is a habit I am trying to break her of, so that hopefully I will get to sleep again.
Grandpa and Grandma came to visit although I only have a picture of Grandpa with Elle. We think that Elle might have Grandpa's beautiful hazel eyes. We will have to wait and see.

My favorite girls came over to see Elle. She loved being held by them.
Grandma Margaret hence the middle name came to see Elle Margaret. Auntie Dorothy drove Grandma and had the cutiest oufit for Elle and also some bath products for me. Auntie Dorothy has been such a blessing. She has become a close friend of my mothers since the passing of my father.
